RESURFACING

ACTIVE FX AND DEEP FX Laser Therapy

Recently, a revolutionary technology has re-opened the door to dramatic skin rejuvenation with much less discomfort, recovery, or risk than traditional laser skin resurfacing treatment. Fractionated laser resurfacing allows incredible improvements of skin tone, texture, smoothness, and color with little recovery time needed. One's face can look 5-10 years younger after a safe 30 minute office procedure!

Laser skin resurfacing has been a mainstay treatment to improve skin which has been damaged from sun exposure, aging, hormonal influences, and scarring.

For years, the industry standard has been traditional carbon dioxide (CO2) laser resurfacing treatment in which the entire surface area of the treated area of skin is ablated with laser energy.  Although these treatments led to dramatic improvements in skin appearance, the intense pain, prolonged recovery, redness, and risk of scarring discouraged many from the procedure.

With the advent of computer-assisted fractionated technology, the energy from the CO2 laser can now be delivered in multiple tiny discrete columns in the skin.  Each laser column penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin creating a microscopic treatment zone that fills with new collagen, the main component of healthy skin, resulting in improved texture, tone and color.
